Fifth Avenue Floral

I just *had* to have this set from the new catalog. That's the worst (if there is a worst) thing about loving Stampin' Up as much as I do, I just *feel* the need to own each and every new stamp set that comes out in the new catalogs. Now, this isn't good business ( Thanks John from SIMB) for setting me on the right course! I will have to buy less stamp sets each year, but my business will become profitable where it only helped support my *habit* before! So this is one of the sets that I will be demonstrating with frequently until it retires! And of course, I'm totally in love with the Big Shot and Butterfly dies! This card uses the current In colors, I will be sad to see these go! Hope you had a great Easter!

One Snazzy Chic

Step away from the rub ons!! Step away from the rub ons!! If I just keep repeating that montra maybe I will leave them alone for a little while!! Nothing wrong with being a little obsessed with a product right? RIGHT???

Today's Ways to Use it Challenge on SCS is to use stripes. Easy Peasy!! I have the perfect card to share, has not one but two types of striped Designer Series Paper. *Wondering if I get a prize for TWO types of stripes?*

I just love this little chick! I decided to "bling" her up with some Rhinestone brads and a snazzy shell of blue ultrafine cosmo glitter from SU! This is her "evening" look, should she need to dress more conservatevly, we could have paper pieced her shell with a matching DSP for a more "daytime" look!

Hope everyone is Blog Land is doing well, I'm off to get some rest before going to the movies tonight!!

Supplies Used:

Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White, Summer Fun DSP

Stamps: A Good Egg

Ink: Black Stazon

Accessories: Circle and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities (love these things), Rhinestone Brads, Ultra Fine Glitter

Look Ma, no stamps!

Good Friday Evening! I just *had* to play in todays SCS Limited Supplies Challenge. The challenge was to "stretch" out of your comfort zone, not once, but TWICE!! YIKES!!!

However, I was able to come up with a card that took me far from what I normally do. Yes, you are actually looking at a card with NO STAMPING!
Oh, the horrors! Ok, it wasn't that bad, and I can mass produce like kids in a sweatshop! I'm thinking of making some more no stamped cards this weekend! Hope your night is well!

Cheep Talk

Got a couple of things to share with you tonight! Here is my card for today's Color Challenge from Splitcoaststampers. Today's Colors were Pink Piroutte, Perfect Plum and Kiwi Kiss. Not exactly the most challenging card, but it was quick. You will see why I didn't have that much time to create anything tonight....in just a minute. But first things first...

I know, kinda simple, but sometime you just have to make a simple card! I love the little added heart above the two birds, kinda turns them into "love birds"!

So, you want to know what my ribbon collections looked like before I discovered Ribbon Rings? Take a look...

And after.... WOO HOO, it's a storage MIRACLE!!! I ran out of tags, so I'm off to order more, but first, let's draw last night's BLOG CANDY winner....drum roll please!!!!

Wow, this is so cute! I love it! As for my hubby and I, he is not really the romantic type, so we usually just have a quiet evening at home after the kids go to bed enjoying each other's company - which is hard to come by these days with the too little ones!

Jennifer, send me your snail mail address and I will get a ribbon sampler out to you right away...keeping with today's theme and all!

Valentine for Hubby and Valentine's Blog Candy

Here is the card that I made for my hubby for V-day. We made this card at our January club meeting when the Love you Much bundle was on sale. I just love the stamp set, paper, punch, ok, I loved it ALL!

We don't do a whole lot for the day, I wish we did more (insert sigh). What do you and your honey do for Valentine's Day? What is the most romantic gesture you've had happen to you, or you did for someone else, to make Valentine's Day rock? Leave me a comment and I will choose a random winner for some free blog candy!

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pink Piroutte, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red
Stamps: Love you Much, Season of Friendship
Ink: Black Stazon
Accessories: Dimensionals, 3 Heart Punch, Scallop Punch, 1 1/4 inch punch, 1 3/8 inch punch, Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon

Did you get to rest this weekend?

Cause I know I didn't! We had cheerleading practice on Friday night, followed by my weekly grocery shopping trip. Didn't get home until after 9 and in bed until nearly midnight! All that after a very long day at work. However, we had a good time at work on Friday laughing most of the day. We were so loopy from the long week that we kept making goofy comments and cracking each other up!

Saturday Holly had her cheerleading team over for a pizza and ice cream party to blow off some much needed steam before their first competition on Oct. 25th. I spent most of the morning working, however, I did get some Uppercase Living expressions on the walls. Here are a couple photos.

Had my stamping ladies over on Sunday for some card making, here is one of the cards we made, I'll post some more this week.

Well I'm off to watch some recorded shows. It's sad when you are so busy during the week that you have to record all your favorite shows and watch them when you can. Sometimes it's weeks before I can watch something! Such is life...

Another Halloween Card

Ok, so today wasn't the best day I've ever had. I just had to come home and let off some steam and just relax by hitting my craft table. The challenge today on SCS was to make a card with jewels. Since I'm still working on my Halloween class cards, I decided to incorporate that. I also checked out Kristina Werner's blog and killed two cards with one stamp (ROFL) by also participating in her color challenge. You can view it here.

I'm not to sure if I'm in love with this card or not, but it might grow on me.

Halloween Cards Already?

Yes, I can't help myself! I just "had" to have these new stamps by Imaginisce. It's a sickness really! However, they do make great cards! I picked these stamps and paper up from my LSS so that I can make some samples for a card class in September. I checked out Splitcoaststampers today and decided to join in on the Card Sketch Forum for today. Check it out here.

I used Elegant Eggplant as a base, mounted the striped paper with Basic Black. Used a great technique for moonlighting from Jan Tink's blog. It really was super easy and fun! This will go into my must teach pile for sure!

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday, just repeat after me "Only two more days until the weekend".

Happy Happy Monday

Not really, my husband has left for a trip out of town for 5 days, so I'm a little sad! However, it will allow me the time to get some stamping and cleaning done over the next few days! I REALLY need to clean and organize my crop room. Can you relate? So, the weekend was busy, not a whole lot had gotten done at home, but we got alot accomplished with Church, kids etc.
I've made another Bella card, I just love these! I know, I know, you've heard that before! This is Billboardabella, you can change the sayings in her billboard. I made this one kinda simple, so I can send it out for any occasion. The colors are Tempting Turquiose, Barely Banana, and Certainly Celery. She's colored with the Prisma pencils and blended with Gamsol and a paper stump. This method is just too cool. Hope you are having a great day. I'm still working on the Card Keeper tutorial and should have that posted soon!

TGIF!!!

I just love Fridays!! Two whole days of no work! Although I usually spend most of it running errands or driving the kids back and forth, but at least it's doing things I want to do. I'll be working at the store tonight from 8pm to Midnight, so I'll be tired tomorrow, but that's okay. I just love hanging out with the ladies on Fridays, they just crack me up.
I've attached one of my latest creations with my Bellas, I just think these ladies are soooo cute! I've colored here with Prisma pencils and blended with Gamsol and a paper stump, I really like this method and it just turnes out great! She's mounted on pretty in pink and brocade blue. I used eyelets to add a little something to the corners. I used my new Imaginesce Easter stripe paper for the bottom layer, scalloped a strip of brocade blue and mounted it on barely banana cardstock. Add a real rose ribbon around the card and you're done! Super easy to recreate!
Hope you all have a great weekend, I will talk to you next week!

Counting down until the weekend!

I don't know about you, but I sure could use some down time this weekend. With working full time, part time at the scrapbook store and having 3 kids and a husband at home I pretty much stay tired all of the time. Don't get me wrong, I have a very fulfilling and rewarding life, I just look forward to days where I don't leave the house or get out of my jammies. They don't happen that often, and I REALLY enjoy them! Throw in some cleaning, reading and stamping, and that's a day in Heaven!
Today's card is one that we made last week in one of my Stamp Clubs. I really do enjoy holding these monthly. It allows me to have regular contact with friends while supporting my Stampin' Up business at the same time, best of both worlds!
This card is made with the A little bit of Happiness Hostess set. I made the card base with Brocade Blue cardstock, watercolored the image with reinkers on our watercolor paper. This was then layered with Groovy Guava and Kraft paper, both torn to give that "messy" look. I also stamped and cut out a couple of extra leaves and used the Stampin' Dimensionals to give them some lift off of the paper. Since I have a ton of HodgePodge Hardware that I just never seem to use, I added a frame over one of my leaves. Top the card off with some twill tape and the double stiched ribbon in Blue Bayou and your done! I got the inspiration for this card from the Spring-Summer catalog from Stampin' Up. If you see anything from the Stampin' Up catalog that you can't live without and don't have a demonstrator, I'll be happy to place an order for you. I can have this shipped directly from SU! to your home, it can't be easier!!

Embrace Life

I just love the new Embrace Life stamp set from Stampin' Up! I had two stamp club meetings this past week and did projects for both with this set. The neat thing is it also comes with it's own matching designer series scrapbook paper that matches!! I'm in heaven!!

We made a Clear Envelope Album using clear envelopes (duh!), some of the DSP, Groovy Guava and Ruby Red cardstock. I also used the new photo corner punch, just love this thing as it makes two different sized photo corners so you can stack them! You can get the directions for the album here. I just love Splitcoast!!! Make sure you join, it's free and you get to see many more ideas/instructions that way. You just can't beat it.

We also made a card to match using the Groovy Guava, Basic Black, Whisper White and the DSP. I can't believe how great this turned out. I used one of the Rhinestone brads in the middle of the flower, just makes it POP off the page!!

We had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday I taught a class at Beach Scrapbooks then hung out and cleaned house the rest of the day. Both girls had friends stay the night, so we ended up taking 5 kids to church and IHOP on Sunday morning. Came home to cut up all the supplies for my Stamp Club then cooked dinner for my dad and Kelly. We watched 300 last night, it was a really good movie, kinda gruesome in spots, but good. Both girls went to a friends house last night and Steven had a friend over, man, it's like our front door revolves! That's okay, they all have good friends that we like, so they are welcome in our house anytime. Hope you have a great day and I will post again tomorrow!
