Happy Happy Monday

Not really, my husband has left for a trip out of town for 5 days, so I'm a little sad! However, it will allow me the time to get some stamping and cleaning done over the next few days! I REALLY need to clean and organize my crop room. Can you relate? So, the weekend was busy, not a whole lot had gotten done at home, but we got alot accomplished with Church, kids etc.
I've made another Bella card, I just love these! I know, I know, you've heard that before! This is Billboardabella, you can change the sayings in her billboard. I made this one kinda simple, so I can send it out for any occasion. The colors are Tempting Turquiose, Barely Banana, and Certainly Celery. She's colored with the Prisma pencils and blended with Gamsol and a paper stump. This method is just too cool. Hope you are having a great day. I'm still working on the Card Keeper tutorial and should have that posted soon!

TGIF!!!

I just love Fridays!! Two whole days of no work! Although I usually spend most of it running errands or driving the kids back and forth, but at least it's doing things I want to do. I'll be working at the store tonight from 8pm to Midnight, so I'll be tired tomorrow, but that's okay. I just love hanging out with the ladies on Fridays, they just crack me up.
I've attached one of my latest creations with my Bellas, I just think these ladies are soooo cute! I've colored here with Prisma pencils and blended with Gamsol and a paper stump, I really like this method and it just turnes out great! She's mounted on pretty in pink and brocade blue. I used eyelets to add a little something to the corners. I used my new Imaginesce Easter stripe paper for the bottom layer, scalloped a strip of brocade blue and mounted it on barely banana cardstock. Add a real rose ribbon around the card and you're done! Super easy to recreate!
Hope you all have a great weekend, I will talk to you next week!

Counting down until the weekend!

I don't know about you, but I sure could use some down time this weekend. With working full time, part time at the scrapbook store and having 3 kids and a husband at home I pretty much stay tired all of the time. Don't get me wrong, I have a very fulfilling and rewarding life, I just look forward to days where I don't leave the house or get out of my jammies. They don't happen that often, and I REALLY enjoy them! Throw in some cleaning, reading and stamping, and that's a day in Heaven!
Today's card is one that we made last week in one of my Stamp Clubs. I really do enjoy holding these monthly. It allows me to have regular contact with friends while supporting my Stampin' Up business at the same time, best of both worlds!
This card is made with the A little bit of Happiness Hostess set. I made the card base with Brocade Blue cardstock, watercolored the image with reinkers on our watercolor paper. This was then layered with Groovy Guava and Kraft paper, both torn to give that "messy" look. I also stamped and cut out a couple of extra leaves and used the Stampin' Dimensionals to give them some lift off of the paper. Since I have a ton of HodgePodge Hardware that I just never seem to use, I added a frame over one of my leaves. Top the card off with some twill tape and the double stiched ribbon in Blue Bayou and your done! I got the inspiration for this card from the Spring-Summer catalog from Stampin' Up. If you see anything from the Stampin' Up catalog that you can't live without and don't have a demonstrator, I'll be happy to place an order for you. I can have this shipped directly from SU! to your home, it can't be easier!!

Happy Hump Day!

Good Morning! Hope this is finding you well. I'll be swamped today at work so this will be short and sweet. I took half a day on Monday so I could scrap with the girls on their day off of school, then Holly came home sick from school yesterday. Could be that 3 lb. box of chocolate that she decided to eat ALL BY HERSELF the night before right before bed!! I could have choked her! I'm sure she's learned her lesson as puking is no fun :)

Today I'm posting pics of the card keeper that my Mom made in my class at Beach Scrapbooks this past Saturday. It turned out GREAT!! It's made with the Bind-it-All machine, chipboard covers, scrapbook paper, ribbon and Stampin' Up's new felt fusion flowers. On the inside we made pockets to hold different occasion cards and labeled the pockets with different rub-ons and stickers. Great gift idea and I can't wait to make more of these to have on hand. Please email me at emlasseter@cox.net if you need any more instructions on how to make this great Card Keeper.

Embrace Life

I just love the new Embrace Life stamp set from Stampin' Up! I had two stamp club meetings this past week and did projects for both with this set. The neat thing is it also comes with it's own matching designer series scrapbook paper that matches!! I'm in heaven!!

We made a Clear Envelope Album using clear envelopes (duh!), some of the DSP, Groovy Guava and Ruby Red cardstock. I also used the new photo corner punch, just love this thing as it makes two different sized photo corners so you can stack them! You can get the directions for the album here. I just love Splitcoast!!! Make sure you join, it's free and you get to see many more ideas/instructions that way. You just can't beat it.

We also made a card to match using the Groovy Guava, Basic Black, Whisper White and the DSP. I can't believe how great this turned out. I used one of the Rhinestone brads in the middle of the flower, just makes it POP off the page!!

We had a pretty busy weekend. Saturday I taught a class at Beach Scrapbooks then hung out and cleaned house the rest of the day. Both girls had friends stay the night, so we ended up taking 5 kids to church and IHOP on Sunday morning. Came home to cut up all the supplies for my Stamp Club then cooked dinner for my dad and Kelly. We watched 300 last night, it was a really good movie, kinda gruesome in spots, but good. Both girls went to a friends house last night and Steven had a friend over, man, it's like our front door revolves! That's okay, they all have good friends that we like, so they are welcome in our house anytime. Hope you have a great day and I will post again tomorrow!

Are you ready for V day?

Are you ready for Valentine's Day??? I've done nothing for the last two days but make Valentine's for my kids' friends. I will be posting my photos in the next day or so, but MAN, come on, I've cut, stamped, and taped enough in the last two days that I could put all of these things together in my sleep! I hope their friends appreciate these homemade goodies. They are SOOO much better than store bought Valentine's. I was so busy with making theirs that I didn't have enough time to make any for co-workers at mine and John's offices. Oh well! Maybe Easter!

Here is a card that I have made recently using the most awesome Stamping Bella stamps. These girls are so cute and I just love the variety of different Bellas there are out there. The are creating quite a sensation at Splitcoast. I used Whisper White cardstock as the background, American Craft paper, Summer Sun and Really Rust Cardstock, Rub-ons (just love these!!!) and some rhinestone brads. All products are Stampin' Up except the AC paper and Bella image.

Good Morning Bloggers!

Good Morning all. TGIF!!! I just love Friday's! I usually work at the store in the evenings then go home to hang out with the family. That also means I get to sleep in the next day, WOO HOO! Getting up at 6am all week really bites : )

Jen and Janice are off to CHA today...I was supposed to go, but alas, Christmas gifts set us back a pretty penny this year. Dang ungrateful kids...LOL. Just kidding, they had a great Christmas, I don't mind sacrificing things for them. John and I are talking about going to Massenutten again for Spring Break to do some skiiing and snow tubing. The kids really love that place and that's where our timeshare is.

I'm posting a photo of the cool calendar that I made with coaster and my Bind-It-All. I have a photo of me and my honey in my much thinner years. (((SIGH))) I really need to concentrate on the weight loss efforts again. Anyway, I just covered two 4X4 coasters with scrapbook paper, bound them and added a photo and the calendar. Couldn't have been easier. Maybe next year I'll make these for my co-workers.

Hope you all have a great weekend! I'll try to post over the weekend, if not, I'll see you bright and early Monday morning. Chao!

Good Morning Sunshines

Hoping that this finds you well. I'm still not 100% better yet from being sick. This has really knocked me for a loop. Had a pretty relaxing night at home with the family last night. Had to do some work on the computer, dinner, trip to the grocery store/Tai Kwan Do with the kiddies. All back home in time to watch my Tivo'd Nip/Tuck and American Idol. That show (AI) just cracks me up!

This is the card that I made for a swap at my LSS, Beach Scrapbooks. I just love doing these. You make 12 of the same card and swap with 12 different people so in the end you have 12 different cards. I like to see what everyone comes up with. Let me know what you think! Off to work, wish I was at home in jammies : )

Holy Procrastination Batman!!!

Ok, so I tend to be a bit of a procrastinator! Seeing as I haven't posted since January, I'm sure you are seeing this trend as well! Well, at least I can admit it, and that's the first step to recovery right??

Anywho, things have been going well despite the fact that I'm just getting over a major case of the FLU! The actual flu virus, which I didn't even know that they could test you for. But they can, as I had not one but two q-tips shoved up my nose at the Dr's office. Very weird sensation, take my word on it. Go get the flu shot if you haven't already. The medicine that they gave me cost $120 for a 5 day supply...not a fun day if you aren't carrying an insurance card (we are, thank the Lord!)

I haven't spent as much time stamping/scrapping as I would like to. Truth be told, I'd love to be a SAHM who can clean house, cook and stamp all day without getting out of the jammies! But the $$ I bring in (it ain't much) lets us do the extra things in life. It isn't bad at all!

Ok, on to our project... I taught a class at Beach Scrapbooks using the Bind-It-All machine. I just love this little guy. You can use their covers or just cut up some thick chipboard, cover, bind and decorate. It really doesn't take much time at all to make some really cute projects. I'm doing a Card Keeper Binder Class next week. You can check out all the class schedules here. Anyway, off to get some more things done. I'll try real hard to do better at the posting. What are some things that you let get away from you and don't do as often as you should? Send me a comment and share your thoughts
