Happy New Year's Eve

Happy New Year's Eve everyone! So, what do you have planned for tonight? We aren't big on doing the party thing, so I'm thinking that we just may take the kids bowling. I'll be sure to take pictures and post online tomorrow. I'm going to be doing a crop at Beach Scrapbooks tomorrow afternoon after lunch at the in-laws. I'm looking forward to starting my 2008 scrapbook by making a 2007 year in review 2 page layout for the front of the book. I'll take photos and post here as well. Hope you all have a good day and I'll try to post again before next year :)

Merry 2 Days after Christmas

Hey all, hoping that you had the most terrific Christmas of all. We had a great day and the fat man was SUPER good to us. I got a new Nikon DX40 Digital SLR camera, I've been wanting one for SOOOOO long and my wonderful husband got me one. I also got several new programs for scrapbooking, a Crop in Style XXL and to many other good things to mention.

I am attaching some photos of some of the gifts that I made my good friends at the office and my Secret Santa. I am teaching a class on how to make these great gifts in January at Beach Scrapbooks except there will also be a clock attached. You can check out our class schedule here.

So, now that Christmas is over, what are you most thankful for 2007? Any good New Year's resolutions?

I'm feeling generous, so leave me comment by 10pm today and I will send out some blog candy (a box of goodies, for you newbies)

Working on Christmas Gifts

I know, I know, only 1 week until Christmas and I'm STILL working on these office gifts. I can't help it, I always wait until the last moment it seems. I'm wondering if this is a New Year's Resolution in the making??? Anywho...these are the cutest origami gift boxes to make. They take two sheets of scrapbook paper, and some ribbon. I saw the step by step video on how to make these at http://www.kwernerdesigns.com/. She has a great blog and I enjoy stopping in there frequently.

We had to take my son to the ER tonight, he wasn't feeling well, short of breath and pains in his chest. Could it be the math test that we scheduled RIGHT when he started feeling bad? HMMM...makes a parent wonder. Nothing wrong with him that they could find, so no news is good news.

I'm off to make more boxes, wish me luck!!

Technique of the Day

Well if you mosey on over to Splitcoaststampers.com you will notice that today's technique is Dazzlin' Diamonds. This is one of my favorites, I love all the sparkle!! I made a Christmas card in the non-traditional colors of black and white, I just think it's classic. I stamped with black Stazon onto glossy cardstock, stamped entire image with Versamark ink and heat set with the Iridecent Ice glitter. Tied it off with a piece of black organdy ribbon and your done. It's a quick and simple card that looks awesome!!

Nothing good on TV tonight, so I think I will read some more of The Husband by Dean Koontz. I started it last night and am already about 100 pages in.

It's Official

It's official, I'm joining the ranks of fellow bloggers and trying my hand at this stuff! I have signed up to about a million other's sites, so I decided to try one of my own. We will see how it goes. One of my New Year's resolutions is to make more time for myself and my crafting, so this will be incorporated. Hope you enjoy!!
